  1. ISLEHEX.EXE is a simple utility program written in Visual
  2. Basic that will allow you to "hex edit" your saved
  3. SimIsle .SI island files to change the amount of remaining funds.
  4. There are seven simple steps to using the program:
  5. 1. Click on the drive box to select the drive where your
  6.    files are stored.
  7. 2. Click on the directory box to select the directory where
  8.    your files are stored.
  9. 3. Click on the file box to select the file that you want
  10.    to change.
  11. 4. Click on the read file button and you will be presented
  12.    with a display of current values.
  13. 5. Select the money value that you want.
  14. 6. Click on the write file button to save these values to disk.
  15. 7. Click on the exit button to terminate the program.

  17. To install this program in a Windows Program Group with an icon,
  18. do the following steps:
  19. A. Copy ISLEHEX.EXE to your SIMISLE/SAVEGAME directory.
  20. B. Open the Windows Program Group where you want the icon.
  21. C. Click on File-New-Program Item-OK from the Program Manager menu.
  22. D. Enter IsleHex in the description box, tab to the Command box
  23.    and click on browse.
  24. E. Locate and select ISLEHEX.EXE and click on OK.

  26. NOTE: This program requires that you have the file
  27. VBRUN300.DLL in your WINDOWS/SYSTEM directory which you can download
  28. from http://www.vcnet.com/jmoore/simstuff.htm
